Gary Pinto and his band CDB is widely regarded as the pioneer of Australian R&B.
Back when Bobby Brown was taking every little step to be there, brothers Gary and Brad Pinto, Andrew De Silva and Danny Williams were taking their own first steps along a road that would lead them to multi platinum success and to open for Boys II Men, and Celine Dion.
But there's more to this story than the glitter of the stage.
Gary talks about a special project that he and his manager Tracey Duff established running religious education classes in primary and secondary schools. It's called As-U-R.
He also talks about one of his heroes Mary MacKillop.
