Listen Now:
Few artists can say their music was actually played in outer space, but that's one of the many accolades that 33 Miles has enjoyed in its five-year career.
In addition to having their song There Is A God serve as the wake-up call for the Space Shuttle astronauts in 2009, the duo has amassed consistent radio success with hit singles What Could Be Better, Where I Wanna Go, and Arms That Hold the Universe.
The group formed five years ago around Jason Barton - a man who started his career singing in True Vibe - one of Christian music's top boy bands from a decade ago.
Since then, he's performed with Avalon and 4Him, as well as written songs for Natalie Grant and many other Christian performers.
At times, 33 Miles' vocal work draws comparisons with Rascal Flatts, but according to lead singer Jason Barton what distinguishes the duo's music is its quest for authenticity and being real with their audiences.
