Before the social networking revolution, there was a sizable chasm between rock stars and their adoring fans.
While Twitter and Facebook have certainly helped bridge that gap, North Carolina rockers Runaway City hope to completely knock it down by being 'real'.
For lead singer Josh Edwards, guitarists Jace Bowman and Tyler Ricketts, bassist Jon Thompson, plus drummer Chris Burrow, the relationships they build while playing what they call 'encouraging, hope-fueled rock songs' is what they inevitably consider the heartbeat of their mission.
Influenced by Switchfoot, Daughtry, NeedToBreathe, U2 and Three Doors Down, Runaway City serves up a timely message with a sense of urgency.
