Audry Assad

Thu, 10 Mar 2011

Listen Now:

Audrey Assad is a refreshing new voice in the world of Christian music.
Her music is honest and vulnerable kinda like 'Brooke Fraser meets Sara Groves', or if you're older, Carole King meets Joni Mitchell.
Her songs speak of pain and redemption, along with the beauty and the wisdom of real love.
She's best known for her song For Love Of You, and for her duets with Brandon Heath and Chris Tomlin.
The inspiration for her music largely comes from her love of literature - poems by Gerard Manley Hopkins and Francis Thompson, plus the works of St Augustine and C.S. Lewis. As well as her own feelings of 'not quite fitting in'.
